Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Service Skills

Qualification Overview

This apprenticeship has been designed with the help of employers to attract new people into the Cleaning and Enviormental Support Service sector and to upskill the exisiting workforce with qualifications at or above Level 2.

Who is this apprenticeship for?

Cleaning and Support Services covers the ffollowing job roles:

  • Building interiors cleaner;
  • Hygiene Operative;
  • Facilities Operative;
  • Specialist Cleaning Operative;
  • Window Cleaner and Food Premises Cleaner.

Apprentices could work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, schools, factories, state of the art offices and shopping centres.

Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Cleaning Supervision.

Training Methods

The programme is predominantly work-based, with the required 20% ‘Off-the-Job Training’ being delivered at one of our campuses or in the workplace.  Additional knowledge sessions, including regular reviews containing activity planning and target setting by a visiting training consultant.

Assessment Methods

To achieve this Apprenticeship, candidates must demonstrate they meet the stated outcomes and have acquired the required knowledge, skills and behaviours.

This is achieved through successfully completing assessment knowledge modules, professional discussion, learner reflective accounts, question and answers, assignments and projects.
