This Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship is designed as a practical first step into the sector, with a mix of workplace learning and off-the-job training over a typical 8 months to gateway.

Designed as a foundation rather than a specialist end point, this apprenticeship helps you build the knowledge, behaviours and practical habits needed to move forward. It gives you a broad introduction to health and care, helping you build practical experience, confidence and workplace skills for your next step.

What you’ll learn:

You’ll build a broad understanding of health and social care, including safe and compassionate support, professional conduct, communication, teamwork, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, and person-centred approaches.

You’ll also develop practical work-readiness skills, such as timekeeping, working professionally, applying feedback, asking for help when needed, and adapting to challenges at work.
