What activities could I do?
This course is made up of sport, leisure and nutrition modules in a range of subjects, such as: sport & fitness instructing, outdoor pursuits, personal development and general cookery.
How long exactly is the course?
This course is for one academic year – starting in early September (but you can still join up to October half-term) and finishing in July.
Do I need any qualifications to apply?
No. You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to learn with us – just a desire to try new things and get your career started.

Who can do this course?
All of our Full-time Courses are available to you if you are:
- Aged 16-18 (or under 25 if you hold an Education, Health & Care Plan)
- living in England
- not in full-time education
Will I have to pay to do a course?
No – the government will pay the cost of your course if you’re 16–18, or under 25 if you hold an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP).
You may also receive a bursary to support your learning. This will be discussed with you on application and could entitle you to up to £1,200 if your course lasts at least 30 weeks in one year. Depending on where you live you may also be eligible for help with your travel costs.
You must attend regularly to receive bursaries and other payments.

What could this course lead to?
Progression from our full-time courses is something that we discuss from day one. There is a structured progression route for each of the courses we offer, including higher level qualifications, Apprenticeships or other employment, including self-employment.
When and how can I apply?
Our courses start in September but you can apply right now, or contact us to arrange a convenient time to visit the campus, see the facilities and meet our staff.
Before starting your course you will be asked to come in to meet your Training Consultant and complete your Programme Induction. This will include a tour of the campus areas where your training will take place. You will also receive further information about the course, such as any equipment or clothing you may need to provide and will be given an outline of your course timetable.
