For almost 150 years, Roach Pittis has been serving clients with first class, practical legal advice. They are now looking for someone with a passion to become a Business Administrator to join their team and continue this into the future. Within this role you will learn how to Archive files correctly and in an orderly fashion, to be the first point of call to Roach Pittis, be that via the telephone or in the reception area as well as ensuring that all correspondences with clients are recorded accurately and passed on to the correct individuals.

No experience is necessary as you will be provided with thorough training throughout the entire Apprenticeship which will enable you to build on your knowledge and skills to be successful in this role.

 

What’s Involved/Duties:

The following are the core responsibilities of this job role and what you will be working toward being able to do, by the end of the Apprenticeship you should be proficient in all of these, occasionally you may be required to carry out other tasks dependant on factors such as workload and staffing levels:

  • Answering the telephone and ensuring all messages are communicated as necessary
  • Operate both manual and computerised record/information systems
  • Assisting the Office Manager and other staff with office related matters upon request
  • Providing administrative and organisational support to the entire team
  • Taking control of the administration of incoming and outgoing post and documents
  • Swiftly notifying secretaries and fee-earners of incoming faxes and deliveries, especially when these are deemed to be urgent.
  • The possibility of small amount of dictation work
  • Learning to work with a variety of IT software, some generic and other specialised to the sector
  • Ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and up to date with Newspapers/magazines

Training Provided:

  • The successful candidate will be working towards the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
  • Off the job training will be provided, where you will have the time to complete your portfolio work, attend off job training seminars and have allocated time for mentoring and being shadowed.

 

Expected Apprenticeship Duration:

  • 16 months.

 

Hourly Wage:

  • National Minimum Wage for Age
