How we listen and what we do

In order to provide excellent teaching, training and learning that leads to success HTP place the client at the heart of the learning experience by maintaining a regular dialogue with learners, parents/carers, employers and the wider stakeholder community.

Here we’ve illustrated a few of the changes we have made in response to suggestions received.

1: Updates on New Opportunities at HTP

What you said:

“I would like updates on new training opportunities at HTP Apprenticeship College.” 

What we did:

The information we share with past and present learners online has been expanded. New opportunies, case studies and Apprenticeship vacancies are now shared on our range of social media platforms.

2: Progression Opportunities

What you said:

“I would like to progress to a higher level training programme whilst continuing to work.”

What we did:

HTP have introduced a wide range of Higher Level Apprenticeships at Levels 4 and 5 enabling you to continue to work whilst gaining new knowledge, skills and behaviours.  We have also formed links with Higher Education institutions which will enable you to continue to work and study at Level 6 and above.

3: Additional Enrichment Activities

What you said:

“We would like to go to a sector conference to learn about new sports equipment and techniques which are being made available.”

What we did:

All Sports and Fitness Learners at HTP will be attending the Wellness Balance Festival 2019 in Shoreditch, London where they will have the opportunity to hear from a wide range of industry specialists and see in action new, innovative equipment.

4: More Health & Wellbeing Opportunities 

What you said:

“We would like more information on Health & Wellbeing opportunities and support across the Isle of Wight.”

What we did:

All full-time learners at HTP will be taking part in the Health, Wellbeing and Future Employment Opportunities event which is followed by a Celebration of Progress and buffet lunch at HTP’s Riverbank Campus in May 2019.
