Qualification Overview

The ILM Level 3 Diploma in Management is ideal for individuals looking to take their first step into line management and for those who already have some management responsibilities. This combined knowledge and competency based qualification will build and develop new skills to enhance a management career. The qualification also forms part of the ILM Level 3 Management Apprenticeship.

What will I learn?

You will take five mandatory units in this qualification. The first unit looks at personal and professional development, helping you to identify your own development needs and plan how to fulfil them. The second unit develops practical team management skills and the three remaining units of this section delve into the theory behind people management, leadership and business.

You then have a choice of optional units covering different areas within management. There is a wide range of optional units allowing you to choose units to meet the needs of your own work role.

How will I be assessed?

In order to achieve any unit, you must demonstrate that you meet the relevant stated outcomes and demonstrate the required knowledge and understanding. This will be achieved through a balance of observations carried out by your training consultant and workplace evidence that you produce.

What could this qualification lead to?

Achieving this qualification will help you progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership.
