What can I do after this Apprenticeship?
Following successful completion of your Apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to progress onto an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration, Team Leading or HR Support.

Overview

Administration Assistants work in small to large businesses across all sectors and industries. The administrator is an integral part of a team, interacting with colleagues at all levels to support the efficient function and operation of the organisation.

What will I learn?

During your Apprenticeship you will develop your communication skills, written and verbal using appropriate methods and professional language. You will gain experience of using a range of software packages to collate, input and extract data and information. You will also learn how to deal appropriately with internal and external stakeholders and develop the skills needed to respond to organisational priorities and changing business needs. As part of your training, you will also develop knowledge and skills to deal with sensitive information in line with legal and organisational requirements.

How will I be assessed?

Throughout your Apprenticeship you will work alongside your Apprenticeship Coach to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to meet the requirements of the Standard developing a portfolio of evidence. To ensure you are making progress your Coach will provide continuous assessment and provide you with regular feedback. On completion of your formal training, you will demonstrate what you have learnt through question and answer or a project.

  • To achieve the standard, apprentices must meet the required off-the-job training hours and be working at or above the occupational standard (KSB’s).
  • The requirement to undertake English and Maths is optional for apprentices aged 19+.
  • The requirements for apprentices aged 16-18 to undertake English and Maths is dependent on their prior attainment.
