Overview
A Coaching Professional will work with a wide range of individuals and teams across organisations, to empower and engage with them to enhance their professional performance. With a growing demand for this occupation it can be found in every sector across the country including, for example; health, finance, engineering and manufacturing, business and professional services, education, retail, leisure, technology and construction sectors. Coaching is a way of leading in a non-directive manner, helping people to learn through deep listening and reflective, open questions rather than instructing, giving advice or making suggestions.
What will I learn?
During your Apprenticeship you will learn organisational culture and relationships, coaching models and theories of learning, protocols and codes of conduct, legislation and codes of ethics, contracting, goal setting and time management, diversity, inclusion and emotional/social intelligence among other things.
How will I be assessed?
During your Apprenticeship you will work alongside your Apprenticeship Coach who will provide continuous assessment and feedback to ensure you successfully complete your Apprenticeship Standard. On completion of your programme you will demonstrate what you have learnt through a knowledge test, observation with questioning and a structured interview underpinned by a portfolio or evidence you will have built during your Apprenticeship.

End Point / Apprenticeship Assessment - Months 15 - 16
- To achieve the standard, apprentices must meet the required off-the-job training hours and be working at or above the occupational standard (KSB’s).
- The requirement to undertake English and Maths is optional for apprentices aged 19+.
- The requirements for apprentices aged 16-18 to undertake English and Maths is dependent on their prior attainment.
