Overview
What would I do on this course?
You will spend lots of time outside all year round, at our Parkhurst Forest site in Newport, participating in activities such as kayaking, mountain biking, orienteering. At Riverbank Campus you will be cooking up some fun, nutritious sweet and savoury food in our fully equipped kitchen, improving health & wellbeing in our gym or fun team sport challenges.
Modules you will complete include:
- Taking part in an activity
- Taking part in exercise and fitness
- Working as a team
- Understanding food, nutrition and healthy eating
- Food preparation & cooking
- Outdoor cooking and bushcraft
- How the body works
Do I have to take exams?
No. The programme is mainly practical and although there are some written and theory elements, all activities are tutor-assessed and no exams are required.
