Overview

Hospitality Supervisors typically work under pressure and provide vital support to management teams, supervise hospitality services and run shifts. As part of this apprenticeship you can choose to specialise in a variety of functions as a supervisor which reflect the multi-functional nature of the industry.
What will I learn during the programme?

During your Apprenticeship you will gain the knowledge and skills you need to supervise hospitality services, run shifts and motivate your team to provide excellent customer service and achieve business targets. You will learn how to monitor operational procedures, working practices and make recommendations for business improvements. You will also develop your leadership skills and confidence to set challenging objectives and provide support to enable team members to achieve targets, continuously improve and accomplish the best results possible. Your apprenticeship will also provide you with a deeper understanding of sales and marketing strategies to enable you to make suggestions for future activities within your area of responsibility.

Which specialist areas will I be able to select from?

As part of your programme you will be able to select a specialist area in which you would like to develop your supervisory skills. The choice includes food and beverage, bar, house keeping, concierge, front of house, events and outlet supervision.

How will I be assessed?

Throughout your programme you will work with your HTP Training Consultant who will provide continuous assessment and feedback to ensure you achieve your Apprenticeship standard. Once you have completed training you will demonstrate what you have learnt through a multiple choice test, practical observation and business project.
