Overview
A Learning & Development (L&D) Consultant/ Business Partner ensures L&D contributes to, and influences, improved performance in the workplace at an individual, team and organisation level. They also have the commercial responsibility to align learning needs with the strategic ambitions and objectives of the business. They are agents for change, influencing key stakeholders, making decisions and recommendations on what the business can / should do in an L&D context.
What will I learn during the programme?
During your Apprenticeship you will you will gain an in depth understanding of all aspects of the systematic training cycle. You will develop your technical expertise relating to adult learning, group behaviour and learning cultures and research the latest learning practice, trends and emerging thinking including the use of technologies to support effective learning. The skills you develop will give you the confidence to present a range of relevant and innovative solutions, gain buy-in from senior stakeholders and deliver training, mentoring and coaching programmes which provide return on investment.
How will I be assessed?
Throughout the programme you will work alongside your Apprenticeship Coach who will provide continuous assessment activities and feedback to ensure you develop the knowledge and skills you require to successfully complete your apprenticeship. On completion of training you will have the opportunity to demonstrate what you have learnt by undertaking a work based project and professional discussion. You will also deliver a presentation on the key points from the Learning Journal you will have designed and built during your Apprenticeship.

- To achieve the standard, apprentices must meet the required off-the-job training hours and be working at or above the occupational standard (KSB’s).
- The requirement to undertake English and Maths is optional for apprentices aged 19+.
- The requirements for apprentices aged 16-18 to undertake English and Maths is dependent on their prior attainment.
