What can I do after this Apprenticeship?
Overview
This programme will provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to coach and assess vocational learning in the workplace on a one-to-one or small group basis. You will learn how to inspire, motivate and raise learners’ aspirations through coaching using techniques such as active listening, providing feedback and engaging learners in planning their individualised learning programme.
What will I learn during the programme?
During your Apprenticeship you will develop the knowledge and skills to enable you to plan coaching and assessment, deliver effective coaching support, carry out effective vocational assessment and recommend ways to support quality improvement. You will also develop your coaching skills and gain a deeper understanding of the complex communication techniques which are integral to assessing learners’ competence in-relation to work-related/industry standards and life skills.
How will I be assessed?
Throughout your programme you will work with your HTP Apprenticeship College Training Consultant who will provide continuous assessment and feedback to ensure you achieve your apprenticeship standard. Once you have completed training you will demonstrate what you have learnt through observations and a professional discussion based on the new skills and knowledge you have gained throughout your Apprenticeship.

End Point / Apprenticeship Assessment - Months 15 - 17
- To achieve the standard, apprentices must meet the required off-the-job training hours and be working at or above the occupational standard (KSB’s).
- The requirement to undertake English and Maths is optional for apprentices aged 19+.
- The requirements for apprentices aged 16-18 to undertake English and Maths is dependent on their prior attainment.
