How you will learn
You will spend most of your time working with your employer in your normal role, gaining hands-on experience and skills in your chosen field. However, as an apprentice, some of your contracted hours – typically 6 hours per week– should be focused on ‘off-the-job’ training, to learn new skills and knowledge related to your Apprenticeship. This training may take place in, or near, your workplace or at one of the HTP campuses as appropriate.
Full support from your HTP Apprenticeship Coach will guide you throughout your learning programme, ensuring you acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to become qualified and successful in your chosen field. Your coach will catch up with you regularly to track your progress and support you with ongoing assessments.
End-Point Assessment
Following the end of your training, you‘ll complete your Apprenticeship by undertaking an independent ‘End-Point Assessment’. This is your opportunity to demonstrate what you’ve learnt and prove your skills in your role.
This assessment includes:
- Presenting a project related to your work, followed by a question-and-answer session
- A detailed discussion reflecting on your portfolio of work compiled throughout your programme.
Qualifications
Upon successful completion, you will receive your Apprenticeship certificate and certificates for any Functional Skills you may have undertaken.
