Overview

This Apprenticeship is suitable for those working in a range of settings including, day nurseries, play groups, nursery schools, pre schools, primary schools and social care settings. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the quality of learning and development in your setting.
What will I learn?

During your Apprenticeship you will gain a wide range of knowledge and skills including promoting the health and wellbeing of children, taking the lead and providing support to disseminate best practice in assessment and planning to meet children’s needs and extend their development in the environment in which you are responsible.

How will I be assessed?

Throughout your Apprenticeship you will work closely with your HTP Training Consultant who will provide continuous assessment and feedback to ensure you successfully complete your qualifications and apprenticeship standard. Once you have completed your formal training you will demonstrate what you have learnt through a professional discussion, online presentation and an observation with questions.

Are there many jobs in this field?

All organisations working directly with children aged birth-8 years, families, practitioners and other professionals require leaders to manage the operational aspects of the setting. This Apprenticeship will give you the skills and knowledge you need to fulfil the role of deputy managers, senior and lead practitioners, preschool leader and early years coordinators.
