Overview

This programme is designed for anyone working in a catering setting where food is prepared, cooked or handled. Safety training is a key ingredient in preparing and preserving essential skills in the workplace. Food safety competence is fundamental in enabling employees to deliver high quality food to customers safely. You will study for this qualification online, through HTP’s virtual learning environment. Once you have received your login details you will work through the modules at your own pace and at times to suit you. You will also receive the official BIIAB course handbook which you can use for reference at any time. You will be assigned a tutor who will monitor your progress and who will be able to answer any questions you may have.

How is the qualification assessed?

Once you have completed the training you will need to book your exam with us. These take place at either our Old Grammar School Campus in Newport or at our Lakeside Campus in Portsmouth.

You will need to provide Photo ID on the day of your exam.
