Overview
What will I learn?
During this Apprenticeship you will gain new skills and knowledge in a wide range of areas including statutory frameworks, standards, guidance and Codes of Practice to enable you to support and mentor colleagues. You will learn about the principles of assessment, outcome based practice, risk management and how to develop effective communication solutions to overcome barriers. This programme also provides the competencies required to develop effective teams, help individuals reflect on their practice to identify development needs and contribute to the induction of new staff by helping them to gain the knowledge they need to be effective in their role.
What is included in the Diploma?
The Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care is made up of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units listed below cover core competencies.

There are a range of optional units to choose from which allow you to tailor this qualification to your needs, interests and workplace setting these include the following:

How will I be assessed?
During your Apprenticeship you will work closely with your Training Consultant who will provide continuous assessment and feedback to ensure you develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to successfully complete your Level 4 Diploma and Apprenticeship Standard. On completion of your apprenticeship you will demonstrate what you have learnt through an observation and professional discussion.
