Overview

This Apprenticeship will enable you to complete a range of duties and treatments. You will gain the skills to complete nail services on a one to one basis with individual customers in a commercial setting. On completion of your course, you will be able to provide a range of nail services, advice and product recommendations whilst meeting industry requirements and codes of practice.
What will I learn?

During the Apprenticeship you will learn to assess customer requirements, choosing the most appropriate services and products, practice safe ways of working in accordance with legal and industry requirements and use a range of techniques, products and equipment to provide manicure, pedicure, gel polish, nail art and nail enhancement services.

What does the Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Professionals/Nails Services Technician cover?

To achieve this qualification you will undertake seven mandatory units which cover the technical knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to complete your Apprenticeship. This will include the development of consultation techniques, hand and nail treatments, nail finish advice and recommendations. You will also learn about bones, muscles and blood circulation of the hand, structure of nails, structure of the nail and skin and nail growth.

This programme will enable you to work as a Nail Service Technician in a wide range of settings.

How will I be assessed?

Throughout your Apprenticeship you will work closely with your HTP Training Consultant who will provide continuous assessment and feedback to ensure you successfully complete your Apprenticeship Standard. Once you have completed your formal training you will demonstrate what you have learnt through a multiple choice test and a practical observation.
