Overview

Quality Practitioners work in small and large businesses alike; from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. The broad purpose of this role is to deploy effective Quality Practices in their responsible area to ensure organisations fulfil the contractual and regulatory requirements of their customers and other stakeholders.
What will I learn?

Over the course of the apprenticeship you will develop a range of knowledge, skills and behaviours which will help you to achieve the standard at end-point assessment.

This will include:

  • Quality Planning – planning a delivery system for reliable outputs, such as implementing Quality Management Plans.
  • Quality Assurance – providing confidence to stakeholders that Quality standards are maintained, such as conducting audits.
  • Quality Control – verifying a product or service is meeting agreed specifications, such as carrying out inspections.
  • Continuous Improvement – preventing recurrence of poor quality through analysis and addressing the root cause of poor quality, such as conducting investigations.
How will I be assessed?

Throughout your Apprenticeship you will work alongside your Training Consultant to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to meet the requirements of the Standard. To ensure you are making progress your consultant will provide continuous assessment and provide you with regular feedback. On completion of your formal training you will demonstrate what you have learnt through a professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence and a presentation with questions and answers based on a work based project you will have undertaken during the last 6 months of your Apprenticeship.
