Overview

This one-year course is perfect for those wishing to further develop their understanding and knowledge in sport, and the range of pathways the sector includes – whether wishing to move into a practical setting as a sports coach or fitness instructor, or following a sports science/therapy route, including physiotherapy, sports psychology, performance analysis and strength and conditioning. Throughout your time on the programme, you will benefit from a holistic approach to education – with the practical and theory elements, strategically combined to create a unique learning environment.

What would I do on this course?

You will learn about, and undertake, a wide variety of activities in a series of units, including:

Exercise, health and lifestyle
Preparing for a career in sport and physical activity
Principles of anatomy and physiology
Fitness testing for sport and exercise
Psychology for sports performance
Sports nutrition
Sports injuries
Sports coaching
Analysis of sports performance
