HTP Apprenticeship College recognises the benefits of working with subcontractors to deliver certain aspects of provision. We will work with subcontractors whose provision does not conflict with existing or planned delivery, or is going to be delivered during the same period by any other subcontractor. HTP Apprenticeship College endeavours to work with providers of good or better quality, who are unable to attain the minimum contract levels at the time of contracting.

Masterclass Academy is the trading name of Plums Ltd, a Portsmouth based independent training provider delivering Hairdressing Apprenticeships to salons in the Portsmouth area. Run from its training salon bases in Portsmouth and Waterlooville, Apprentices work for Hair Ott and other salons in the local area and attend day release off-job training, as well as ongoing support in the workplace by their employer and the Masterclass Academy team.

Hair Ott is a hairdressing group established in 1976. They have five salons located in the wider Portsmouth area. HTP works with Hair Ott to provide suitable qualified staff for their ongoing operations.

For those looking to start a career in Hairdressing a Traineeship programme introduces candidates to the industry with successful candidates offered Apprenticeships with Hair Ott. With very high success rates, excellent development opportunities and the chance to work with an established hairdressing group, these opportunities are very popular with those looking to go into the industry in the Portsmouth area.

Showcase Training has worked in the training industry for many years and are passionate about supporting and developing people to achieve their goals and aspirations.

HTP Apprenticeship College has been pleased to be a partner with Showcase Training to deliver training to young people and mature workers in the Childcare sector until the end of July 2019. If you are looking to start a career in Childcare you should contact Showcase Training directly from April 2018.

Showcase Training delivers Intermediate, Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships in an around Hampshire and would be happy to advise or support those looking for a childcare career, or needing the qualifications to remain or develop within the sector.

HTP Apprenticeship College has been working with Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust since 2011 when they made the strategic decision to introduce more Apprenticeships into employment at the Trust. In 2013 our partnership developed further when the Trust transferred the Pathology and Pharmacy NVQs into the Apprenticeship programme, using the Healthcare Support Services Apprenticeship route.

This partnership sees the Trust delivering the occupational elements of the Apprenticeship with HTP Apprenticeship College managing the Functional Skills aspects and having the overall responsibility for quality and finance.

UKSA is a charity which believes in the power of the sea to make a change. They offer the very best professional maritime training courses alongside youth development programmes to help young people transform their lives for the better. As a youth charity they use money raised from donors, sponsors and professional training to help make a positive difference in the lives of the 9,000 young people they welcome every year.

From experienced yachtsmen and women to nervous eight-year-olds, superyacht students to ex-offenders, UKSA is never just about training and certificates. They’ve helped launch 5,000 careers and they turn lives around every day. New in 2015/16 is the opportunity to undertake a Traineeship in Water Sports Instruction, where you can learn how to sail and windsurf, and then how to teach others with Nationally recognised training and certification. The first course of 12 resulted in all Trainees being given conditional offers of employment with UKSA. Parkdean Resorts is currently the largest holiday park operator in the UK operating 71 holiday parks across England, Scotland and Wales. HTP Apprenticeship College has been working with Parkdean since 2015 delivering Hospitality and Customer Service apprenticeships predominantly in the south of England.

Since 2018 we have been working with Parkdean on its “Rising Stars” and “Chef Development” Programmes training existing staff in the skills that are required for a career in the Hospitality Industry rather than just a job, undertaking Chef , Hospitality and Management Apprenticeships

 New to 2018 HTP are working in partnership with Island Riding Centre of Newport to deliver full time courses focused on the principles and practices of horse care and management in a work-based setting and is ideal for anyone looking to start a career – and potentially progress on to an Apprenticeship.

The training covers a range of areas related to the skills and knowledge required for working in the Equine industry. It could lead to jobs such as:

  • Yard Worker
  • Assistant Groom
  • Assistant Trekking Centre Worker
