“We’ve already seen a huge take up and support from employers across a range of sectors.”
It’s clear that the last year has been a tough one for the economy. Businesses have been forced to reshape their operations and their output. The Covid pandemic has rapidly accelerated changes in the marketplace as well as the workplace and I’m sure your business is no different.
Your team may look different a year on, and your working environment has probably evolved too. Which is where we think a Traineeship could make a real difference to the way you operate. Do you want to regenerate your business, get your team back up and running as well as provide a genuine opportunity to a young person looking to learn new skills?
If you think you know Traineeships, it’s probably time to think again. As the economy emerges from the shock of the Covid pandemic, the government is focusing on Traineeships as part of the fightback. Young people across the country are getting back into work, with new skills and in new workplaces.
Traineeships help to rebuild teams
Could your business benefit from taking on a Trainee? We think so. Right now, businesses are taking on young people under 25 and seizing the opportunity to reshape their teams, bringing in new talent who can adapt to the new future that we’re all facing.
Traineeships are great for businesses of any size. If you’re a large employer or an SME, we can work with you to devise training programmes that work to meet your needs. If you’re in tourism or hospitality we can provide you with a young person who can get trained up in Food Hygiene. Our training consultants build Traineeships that serve your business. If you need staff trained in Manual Handling or Health & Safety, we can do that.
Try a Traineeship – it’s flexible
The great thing about a Traineeship is that it’s a very low-risk option for you. You don’t have to offer the young person a job at the end, but our track record for success is high and we hope that you won’t want to say goodbye to a keen young person who has learnt to do business your way.
HTP will pay for all the training and there is no requirement for your business to pay the trainee a wage because the programme is classed as full-time education. You’ll also be paid £1,000 to take on a trainee and you could receive up to £10,000 by taking on 10 young people. We do encourage our employees to pay a bursary for their Trainees.
For many businesses, Traineeships are a more flexible alternative to Apprenticeships. They also complement the Kickstarter scheme, which isn’t appropriate for every business. We move quickly too. Your young person could be trained up between 6 and 12 weeks from starting, ready for the new season and the new marketplace as we unlock from the pandemic.
Businesses are already backing Traineeships
We’ve already seen a huge take up and support from employers across a range of sectors. From The Tomato Stall to education providers, solicitors to pubs and restaurants, from care providers to tourist attractions. There isn’t a typical employer and we tailor our programme to suit the unique needs of your operation.
I’m currently talking to employers who have radically changed their operations in response to the pandemic. They’re looking for new people, with new ways of thinking, who are keen to learn, without preconceptions. We have young people who are looking to upskill and reskill – can you offer them a life-changing opportunity that can also help your business to grow?
